Beginnings & Ends are easier to remember than… the middle

That’s right, beginnings and ends are always easier to remember than the middle.

Now why does this matter? Well because the middle usually is the now, we are too obsessed with what has happened in the past and what will happen in the future, stopping us from living in the now which in my opinion is the best way you to life your life and be happy.

A lot of people end up focussing on the negatives of the past, which has gone and does not exist anymore. When it comes to the future, it’s usually apprehension or a dream or want that you feel will make you happy. The truth is the vast majority of future predictions do not happen, and when you do get that new house/car/boat, it won’t make you anywhere near as happy as you thought it might.

So start living in the now people, and one day at a time, it will get easier and easier and you will be happier and happier.

Have a great weekend everyone!

What I hope to achieve.

I have always been interesting in Phycology, what makes us tick and why we react in certain ways. I read a load of self help books during my time to try and fulfil my full potential. On the way I learnt a lot, met a lot of people that I could apply my learning to and finding the answers to many issues friends and family face.

One thing I have come across a lot is the midlife crisis that both men and women go through, but mostly men. In the UK the highest rate of suicide is seen in men between 45-49. Find more statistics on this from the Samaritans website. I hope that if you are in this category, then my blog helps you. I will cover many topics of conversation throughout this blog that will target the problem areas.

As well as my advice in this blog, I really really recommend you to read as much as you can on self-help and always try to be the best person you can. On top of this, I would also recommend getting a counselor or life coach if you can afford those. I was fortunate enough to have a really good life coach based in Norwich who you can look up if you fancy some online courses. In this day and age, online courses are the way to go with social distancing.

I’d like to help that the knowledge I share will be enough, and if you ever want to reach our with a specific question or for a piece of advice, then please do hit the contact button and drop me a line.

Have a great day everyone.

Science Gate Journals

I have started this blog to highlight the issues that men face in their middle age with mental health issues. The biggest killer in men is suicide and I want to find out why this is, and what we can do about it. I want to close that gate using science. Please get in contact if you would like to contribute a guest post.
